Annual Shred Days 2026
Saturday, May 16 at North Park --Shredding only, City of Springboro and Clearcreek Township residents
Saturday, Oct. 17 at North Park --Electronics Recycling only, City of Springboro residents
The City offers two FREE opportunities to get rid of materials. Both events are at North Park, 195 Tamarack Trail:
- Saturday, May 16, 10 a.m. to noon, or until trucks are full--SHREDDING EVENT ONLY
- Saturday, Oct. 17, 10 a.m. to noon, or until trucks are full--ELECTRONICS RECYCLING ONLY
Shredding services are done on-site by Shred-It. The Shred-It process is 100% compliant with all NAID Guidelines (National Association of Information Destruction.)
Please follow these guidelines:
Shredding: May 16: 10 a.m. - noon or trucks are full
Bring papers to be shredded in cardboard boxes or other containers—plastic bags are not accepted.
•Our staff will remove the items from your car. This will keep the line moving.
•We will accept household shredding only. This event is not for businesses.
•Proof of residency required. This event is for City of Springboro and Clearcreek Township residents.

Cobalt accepts most common home and office electronics. If it stores data, uses batteries or plugs in, they can recycle it. Commonly recycled items include laptops, tablets, computer towers, hard drives, printers, keyboards, docking stations, and handheld personal devices, routers, modems, telephones, fax machines, speakers, stereos/speakers, remotes, keyboards, mic, wires, batteries, microwaves, LCD screens, cable/satellite boxes, DVRs, CRT monitors and televisions. There are only a few exceptions to what they can take.
