The City’s normal tax-filing deadline is April 30; since that falls on a weekend in 2023, you’ll have until Monday, May 1 to file. Our filing deadline allows you to focus on getting your Federal return filed by the IRS’ April 18 deadline; you’ll need to complete your Federal return before filing with the City.
If you need assistance with your return, here are the free services we offer:
- In-person tax preparation: If you would like to have a staff member prepare your return while you wait, schedule an appointment online or call 937-748-9701. Appointments are available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. Note: You MUST have an appointment to have your return prepared; walk-in service is NOT available.
- Remote tax preparation: Start by downloading the “Document Submission Form” from our website. Complete that form with your contact information and then follow the instructions regarding what forms we need to prepare your return. Submit the submission form and required documents via the electronic dropbox on our website, the physical drop box at the municipal building, or postal mail. We’ll prepare your City return and mail it back to you for review and signature.
