Santa at the PAC (Facebook Post)Letters to Santa

Santa is accepting letters at his special mailbox in Springboro! Youngsters can drop off their notes in the Santa mailbox located in the lobby of the City Building, 320 W. Central Ave. beginning Nov. 6. The mailbox will be moved to the SPARC and Go, 320 S. Main St., during the Christmas in Springboro festival, Nov. 17 – 19, and then return to the City Building lobby. Santa will respond to all letters that include a name and mailing address. Letters will be accepted in the box through Friday, Dec. 15. 

Meet Santa at the PAC

Tell Santa all your dreams and wishes during Visits with Santa Claus at the Springboro Performing Arts Center, 115 Wright Station Way. Santa will stop by the lobby to meet youngsters 5 – 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, noon -2 p.m. and 5 – 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 and noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3. Make a craft, too! This event is free and open to the public. 

Win a “Grinch” theme Christmas tree 

TGrinch theme decorated Christmas treehis Grinch tree will not steal Christmas but it will make your heart grow! We’re giving away a 7 1/2’ decorated artificial tree with all your favorite characters from “The Grinch”. Register at the SPARC and Go during Christmas in Springboro, City Offices, 320 W. Central Ave., 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday or  during Santa visits at the PAC, listed above. Tree on display at the PAC. Drawing held Dec. 18. You must be a Springboro resident to register. One entry per day.  

Watch "The Grinch" movie Dec. 16 at the PAC

The City of Springboro presents a free kids movie, “The Grinch,” on Saturday, Dec. 16 at the Springboro Performing Arts Center, 115 Wright Station Way.

"The Grinch" (2018) attempts to undermine the annual Christmas celebration at Whoville with the help The Grinch Movie poster promoof his loyal dog and reindeer. Disguised as Santa Claus he tries to steal all the presents, but his cover is threatened by an earnest young girl.

 Show times are noon and 2 p.m. Concessions available.  Make a craft.  Admission is free and no tickets are needed.  Doors open 30 minutes prior to show time and close when theater is full. For more information, call 937-748-5781.

Help us decorate the Christmas tree at the PAC

We’re celebrating a Nutcracker Christmas in the lobby of the Springboro Performing Arts Center. You can help decorate the tree! Bring an ornament from your collection to the PAC during the Santa visitation hours listed above and in exchange, while supplies last, you’ll receive a special ornament for your Christmas tree.

Free Kids Movies at the PAC

“The Super Mario Bros. Movie” and “Lilo and Stitch” to be featured

The City of Springboro presents free movies for kids on Saturday, Jan. 20 and Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Springboro Performing Arts Center, 115 Wright Station Way.  Show times are noon and 2 p.m.   

See “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” on Jan. 20.  Based on the Super Mario video games, the animated film Mario Bros flierfollows Mario on his adventures with his friends. Mario joins forces with Princess Peach and Toad. The trio is in search of Mario's brother Luigi. Together, they hope to defeat the evil Bowser and save the Mushroom Kingdom from his destructive schemes.

“Lilo and Stitch” will be shown on Saturday, February 17. In Lilo and Stitch, get ready to crasLilo and Stitch promoh-land on Earth with Stitch, a runaway genetic experiment from a faraway planet. As he wreaks havoc on the Hawaiian Islands, he becomes the mischievous adopted alien "puppy" of an independent little girl named Lilo and learns about loyalty, friendship, and 'ohana, the Hawaiian tradition of family.

The City of Springboro is pleased to offer an Art Gallery in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) lobby, 115 Wright Station Way. Exhibits, which feature local artists showcasing a variety of mediums, change monthly.

The City of Springboro is pleased to offer a Speaker Series in the Premier Health Theater of the Performing Arts Center (PAC). Featuring a variety of topics, a presentation is offered quarterly.

Springboro Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee

The Springboro Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) partners with the Springboro Library for a cycling/hiking speaker series. Click here for the 2023 Series.

Touch A Truck

Each spring, the city hosts this event at  North Park, 195 Tamarack Trail. Featuring Police cService dept. employee by a City truckruisers, fire trucks, backhoes, service vehicles, SWAT, tow truck, school bus, race car, CareFlight and more! Kiddos have the opportunity to sit in the driver's seat, honk horns and get an up-close look at all kinds of cool equipment. This event is FREE and open to the public. Sensory sensitive time with no horns or other loud sounds is 9:30 a.m. - 10 a.m. 

Styles on Main Fashion Show

Boro BOOM! Springboro July 4th Fireworks show at Springboro High School

Celebrate Independence Day with a night under the stars! Each year the City and Clearcreek Township host a fireworks show and festivities on July 4. Check back for plans for 2024. Fireworks!

Concerts and DORA at Wright StationWright Station new updates 2023 (1)

The City of Springboro presents an entertaining lineup of FREE outdoor concerts at Wright Station, at St. Rts. 741 and 73 each summer. The 2023 season has concluded. Check back for the lineup for next year. The area is also a DORA--Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area--permitting those over the age of 21 to purchase and carry alcohol in specially marked cups throughout the area and offers free Wi-Fi.

 

Bike the Boro and BoroFest at North Park

Each September a free BiketheBoro2023_10Year_Logo_COLORcycling event, bike information and education along with kids’ activities are offered 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Later that day, BoroFest welcomes food trucks, live music, bounce houses and kids' activities.
