Jan. 27, 9 a.m.: Warren County is under a LEVEL 1 SNOW EMERGENCY. JAN. 27, roadways can still be hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be icy. Temperatures are dangerously low. Use caution going outside.
Jan. 26: 4:30 p.m. Temps are going to dip tonight...make sure you are prepared. Our Service Dept. will be on watch for drifting snow, water main breaks and slick spots. Here are some suggestions to help avoid problems that can occur when the temperatures dip below freezing:
Disconnect Garden Hoses: Remove hoses from outdoor spigots to prevent freezing.
Drain Irrigation Systems: Turn off and drain your system to protect it from damage.
Secure Exposed Plumbing: Keep garage doors closed if your meter or plumbing is in a garage or exposed area.
Prevent Pipe Freezing: If your home has a history of frozen pipes, consider letting one faucet trickle slightly overnight.
Locate Your Water Shut-Off Valve: Be ready to turn off water immediately if a pipe freezes or bursts.
Check Vulnerable Areas: Identify unheated spaces like basements, crawl spaces or outside walls that are most at risk for freezing.
Check on elderly or neighbors living alone and pets. Stay safe and warm!

2 p.m. Roadway clearing
Our Springboro crews will soon be working on the main through streets within subdivisions. We recognize and truly appreciate our residents who work in healthcare, public safety and other essential roles who must report to work—regardless of weather conditions.
At this time, crews are beginning to clear one or two main through streets in each subdivision to help provide access to the main roads, which are currently passable. Please note that cul-de-sacs are not yet being plowed as crews focus on priority routes. This intended to help essential workers more easily reach our main roads.
Thank you to all our residents for your patience and understanding. Our crews are working non-stop to improve road conditions and keep everyone safe while traveling.
