The Springboro Performing Arts Center gallery, 115 Wright Station Way, will feature two fine art shows this month. The Springboro High School Senior Art Show is set for May 1 - 11. The show highlights the work of almost 50 student artists showcasing a variety of mediums including ink, colored pencil, sculpture and acrylics. “This is our celebration of all the hard work and extraordinary seniors that we have graduating this May,” says art teacher Julie Crace, noting that many of the students have plans to study art in college. Meet the artists at a reception, 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, May 11.
Immediately following, a show featuring art students and teachers from Chasing Light Art Studio and Gallery in Springboro will be on display May 15- May 26. Work includes paintings, ceramics and mixed media. Participating artists include Sally Runge, Patty Clark, Erica Eyre, Keira Warren and Shawna Hatton.
The shows are free and open to the public. Exhibit hours are 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and by appointment by calling 937-748-5781.
