[ARCHIVED] Art Gallery hosts Lawal Said exhibit, artist reception February 25

The works of Lawal Said will be on display through Feb. 25 in the Springboro Performing Arts Center, 115 Wright Station Way. Originally from Nigeria, Said graduated from Yaba College of Technology and later earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.

Often classified as an impressionist artist, Said works in acrylic and his paintings showcase bright colors. His works include portraits, landscapes, abstracts and photography along with music and dance themes. “I want people to walk away feeling deeply connected with each of my art pieces,” says Said. “I want every experience with my art to be worthwhile.”
