[ARCHIVED] Gallery showcases FiberArt22 exhibit--Meet the Artists Sept. 16

Fiber Show Flier

Springboro Gallery welcomes back FiberArt Exhibit

An eclectic fiber art show is returning as the featured exhibit at the Springboro Performing Arts Center, 115 Wright Station Way. FiberShow’22 is coordinated by fiber artist Cathy Jeffers, who exhibits her art quilts and mixed media in a number of solo exhibitions locally and nationally. The show is designed to show both traditional and non-traditional forms of fiber art and includes quilting, felting, paper, and stitchery, in both 2-D and 3-D fiber art. Jeffers coordinated a fiber show at the Performing Arts Center last year.

In addition to works by Jeffers, nationally recognized artists including Lynn Campbell, Delora Buford Buchanan, Boyd Hastings, Glenda Miles, Carole Staples, Lynn Conaway, Cynthia Catlin, Maude Haeger and Robin Hartmann have works on display.

The public is invited Meet the Artists at a reception 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, September 16, prior to opening night of “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time”, a production by the Springboro Community Theatre at the Performing Arts Center.

Gallery hours are 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with extended hours Friday, Sept. 16 and 23 and Saturday, Sept. 17 and 24 until 8 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 18 and 25, 2 – 4 p.m. or by appointment by calling 937-748-5774. The exhibit runs through Sept. 25. The show is free and open to the public.
