The Springboro Performing Arts Center, 115 Wright Station Way, will be showcasing the works of sisters Mary Lynn Mogan and Patty Reeves, Nov. 1 – 28 in the gallery. While both are longtime artists, this is the first time their work will be shown as one exhibit. Reeves is the owner and chef at Ambiance Wine Bar Café in Historic Springboro. Patty likes to paint images that draw the viewer into the picture, almost as if they are inside the world of the painting. Many of her works depict streets or the woods.
As a child, Mary Lynn Mogan was interested in the fine arts and dabbled in pencil sketching and watercolors. She attended the University of Dayton to pursue a degree in art education. In her retirement years, Mary has devoted more time to developing her skills as an artist. She loves painting pet portraits and recreating vacation and travel photographs into canvas fine arts.
An artists’ reception is scheduled 5 – 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4 at the gallery.
Gallery Hours are 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with some extended hours on evenings and weekends or by appointment by calling 937-748-5774.
