[ARCHIVED] ARB Seeking Board Members

NOTICE

CITY OF SPRINGBORO CITIZEN COMMITTEE OPENING

Architectural Review Board

The City of Springboro is seeking residents interested in serving on the City's Architectural Review Board (ARB). The ARB, established in 1997, is primarily responsible for carrying out the provisions of Springboro’s Historic Preservation Code. The ARB’s duties include recommending the designation of historic properties and districts, developing and applying design standards and procedures for the protection and conservation of historic properties and districts, and increasing awareness and public understanding of historic preservation in the Springboro community.

The ARB is a seven-member board that meets regularly the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building.  Board terms are two years.  Applicants for the Architectural Review Board should possess a special interest in historic preservation, and a preservation-related professional background including archaeology, architectural history, architecture, historical architecture, history, planning or related disciplines is required.

To apply, please CLICK to visit our boards and commissions webpage for a volunteer application.  You may attach a letter of interest or resume to your application. Please contact Community Planner and Board Liaison Dan Boron at 937-748-6183 or danb@cityofspringboro.com with any specific questions regarding service on the ARB.
