Stroke is the fifth leading cause of death after heart disease and cancer. Every year, approximately 795,000 people suffer from a stroke. In addition, stroke is the leading cause of serious long-term adult disability in the United States. This workshop covers facts and myths about stroke, risk factors, prevention, symptoms and treatment options available for people experiencing stroke.
