The City of Springboro was designated a Store it Safe Community in August 2025. This program focuses on preventing youth suicide and injury by promoting the safe storage of firearms and medications.
By becoming a Store It Safe Designated Community, we’re not just claiming a title, we’re taking real action. This includes educating families and caregivers about the importance of securing lethal means and creating a community culture where help is visible, accessible and free of stigma or politics.
This designation signals that we’re serious about protecting our kids and that we believe in prevention, in hope and in building a future where every young person knows they matter.
The Store It Safe movement works best when multiple community leaders, from a variety of youth-facing professions, come together to educate citizens of all ages to make an impact.
Let’s take this bold step together, with Ohio AAP, for our children, for our families and for the safety of our entire community. For more information, contact Springboro Community Relation Officer Aaron Morgan or visit Store It Safe.
