[ARCHIVED] City begins fire hydrant flushing

The City of Springboro will be flushing water mains through Wednesday, Nov. 24 in areas south of Central Avenue (State Route 73), in the following order:

Commercial areas, Royal Oaks (including downtown area), Myers Farm, Fieldstone, Creekside, Fairways, Enclave, Ashton Woods, Heatherwoode, Farms of Heatherwoode, Clearcreek Estates, all schools.

This may cause rusty water in the area where water mains are being flushed. If possible, it would be best to avoid doing laundry during days when water mains are flushed in your area. If your laundry does become discolored, keep it wet, add a powder packet and rewash the laundry. Powder packets can be obtained from the Water Department during working hours or after hours at the Police Dispatcher’s office at 320 W. Central Ave. Updates and changes to the schedule can be obtained daily, or for additional information, call 937-748-9721, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., after 4:30 p.m. call 937-748-0611.
