On February 17, 2022, City Council adopted a new Master Plan. This plan replaces a similar plan from 2009.

Work on the Springboro Master Plan began in Summer 2020. A Steering Committee was created to guide the plan’s development in September 2020 and began meeting in October 2020. The City secured the services of a consulting team led by MKSK to assist in the plan’s development. Work on the plan continued through the pandemic, with the Steering Committee meeting in person and virtually, through two rounds of open houses and with the input from surveys. At its meeting on December 14, 2021, the Steering Committee approved a motion to recommend that the City adopt the plan with a number of revisions recommended based on feedback from public comments received at an open house held on December 7 as well as comments posted to the project website.

At its meeting on January 19, 2022,  the Springboro Planning Commission approved a motion to adopt the plan, incorporating a number of amendments recommended by Planning Commission members and City staff.
