HEATHERWOODE FOOD & BEVERAGE DIRECTOR

 General Statement of Duties

The Food & Beverage Director is responsible for managing all food & beverage functions at Heatherwoode Golf Club.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not All-Inclusive)

  • Manages and supervises all food & beverage operations, scheduling, food & beverage inventory purchases and sale.

  • Recruits, hires, trains & supervises all food & beverage staff.

  • Assures that the employees and facility operates in accordance with all applicable City polices, and local, state and federal laws.

  • Maintains positive relationships with public and employees while maintaining highest levels of customer service.

  • Provide excellent food and beverage service for all events.

  • Inspects & assists with all events set up and breakdown as directed.

  • Develops and implements marketing program to increase food & beverage revenues and rentals.

  • Responds to requests and complaints regarding food & beverage operations

  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.

 Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Should have knowledge of the common methods, best practices, tools and materials used in the operation of a food & beverage operation.  Must be able to communicate concisely and clearly with the general public, other City employees, vendors and contractors.  Must be cost conscious and able to apply modern cost containment measures to the overall mission of the City.

Must be extremely organized, efficient and detail oriented.  Must have exceptional customer service skills and must be highly motivated and a self-starter.

Acceptable Experience, Training and Additional Requirements:

Must have 3-5 years related experience in food & beverage management.  A two-year or four-year college degree is preferred (Degree in Hospitality Management a plus.).  Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.  Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, a commitment to the overall mission of the City and a cost conscious approach to assigned tasks.  Must possess and maintain a valid State of Ohio’s Drivers license and be able to satisfactorily pass a background check and drug screen.

Working Conditions:

While performing the required duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with arms and hands.  The employee is often required to walk, stand, sit, talk and hear or operate certain objects for long periods of time (6-8 hours).  The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs occasionally.  The employee will be required to work extended hours during golf and holiday season(s) and work weekend and holidays as determined by the City.

HEATHERWOODE BANQUET SOUS CHEF


General Statement of Duties

The Banquet Sous Chef is integral to the guest experience and provides food & beverage services to the guests.  The Banquet Sous Chef will assist the Kitchen Manager (Executive Chef) with all food preparation, oversee the kitchen staff, and adhere to safety and health standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not All-Inclusive)

  • Supervise preparation of catered and concession food items.

  • Evaluates food products to assure that quality standards are consistently achieved, and helps improve menu selection.

  • Maintains positive relationships with public and employees while maintaining highest levels of customer service.

  • Assists with forecasts, budgets, and action plans pertaining to the F&B operation.

  • Maintains appearance, upkeep and cleanliness of kitchen area.

  • Maintains kitchen equipment by following appropriate operating guidelines, troubleshoots breakdowns, and performs preventative maintenance.

  • Ensures full compliance with the Department of Health regulations dealing with food and beverage operations.

  • Performs clean-up and closing procedures.

  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Tax Clerk - City of Springboro

General Statement of Duties The Tax Clerk is responsible for the collection, recording, custody and depositing of City tax funds. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not All-Inclusive) • Assists the Assistant Finance Director in collection of tax payments by recording collections; and advising taxpayers and tax preparation individuals regarding income tax issues. • Conducts reviews and audits of city income tax returns for accuracy according to established procedures. • Conducts research to locate delinquent tax accounts. • Helps to foster good community relations by providing customer service. • Provides clerical support to the Tax Department. • Opens mail and performs office duties such as: answers phones, making copies, etc. • Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Employee must have knowledge of modern office practices and procedures and computer related software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook. Employee must have ability to familiarize themselves with local income tax ordinances. Must have the ability to communicate concisely and clearly with other City employees and the general public. Must have the ability to carry out detailed but basic written and/or oral instruction. Must have ability to complete routine work forms. May be required to lift 30lbs+/-, bend down, reach up, but generally will be working in an office environment utilizing a computer, calculator, copy machine, telephone, etc. May be required to work overtime on weekends and outside of normal working hours. Acceptable Experience, Training and Additional Requirements: Employee should have experience in one or more areas related to the position; including, but not limited to; general business practices, general finance, bookkeeping or tax payments or collections. At a minimum, must have completed two-year degree program with coursework in business, bookkeeping and/or general finance OR at least five (5) years experience in tax payments or collections. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, a commitment to the overall mission of the City and a cost conscious approach to assigned tasks. Must possess and maintain a valid State of Ohio’s Drivers license.

 Spring/Summer Seasonal Maintenance

The City of Springboro is currently seeking help within its Service Department for seasonal help.  The interested person must be at least 18 years of age, and able to pass a drug test, background check, and basic physical.  The position will be Monday – Friday from 7:30 AM – 4 PM, and will start at $10-$11 per hour. 

Here are a few other duties and responsibilities:

  • Performs cleaning and repair to park restroom facilities, emptying of trash and recycling receptacles.
  • Performs general maintenance of all park structures, including but not limited to; tennis courts, playground equipment, baseball diamonds, benches, bleachers, fences, walking trails, basketball courts, concessions stands, picnic shelters, etc.
  • Performs routine maintenance on all equipment and performs any minor repairs on machinery.  Keeps equipment clean and in safe working order.
  • Assists other City departments when assigned, including but not limited to, water main breaks, traffic control, road repair, sign repair, building maintenance, general upkeep of the City.
