West Factory Road

The West Factory Road Roadway Improvements project will begin on January 9, 2012. The roadway will initially be closed to through traffic west of the intersection of West Market Street. Barrett Paving Materials, Inc. was awarded the contract in October and the anticipated construction is scheduled to be completed by August 31, 2012. The contractor is currently working on the installation of the underground utilities west of the bridge.

The project consists of widening approximately 850 feet of West Factory Road from a point 225 feet east of the intersection of West Market Street to the bridge over Twin Creek and also reconstructing approximately 850 feet west of the bridge. The existing bridge will be removed and a new wider bridge will be installed. A new 12” water main will be installed to replace an old 6” water main. The 12” water main and a new 8” sanitary sewer will be extended from the bridge to the existing corporation line to the west of the bridge. The project will include the installation of curb and gutter and storm sewer. Sidewalk will be constructed on the north side of the road for the length of the project. The new roadway will be 30 feet wide measured from back of curb to back of curb.

This is a State Issue 2 project with approximately 50% of the funding coming from the Ohio Public Works Commission.
